What is it?
Great leaders understand that to bring out the
best in people and achieve results they must lead by example.
They know that coaching staff can improve morale and performance
and develop teams.
Effective coaching can:
• Enhance individual, team
and organisation performance.
• Create a culture of leadership through coaching.
• Develop accountability for business results.
Executive Coaching is a unique development plan
designed for the individual executive or manager. Initially
each participant undertakes a personal assessment, which includes
feedback from company associates and possibly clients, often
done in small group forum. An individual development plan
is then created and specific coaching given to maximise your
potential. Sessions begin with assessment and feedback and
then subsequent coaching sessions will be planning, practicing
and reviewing development.
What participants learn:
• When to manage, when to lead and
when to coach.
• Awareness of their own coaching strengths and potential.
• Core coaching skills, including giving insightful
and effective performance feedback.
• How to use the Coaching Process to achieve results.
• The ethics and responsibilities of using coaching
in their leadership.
How it fits into your
company:
By firstly raising an awareness of and then by strategically
planning for, an executive’s professional, organisational,
and self development can be maximised. Undertaking a personal
assessment of strengths and development needs will allow any
executive to be able to build a focused personal development
plan. With this application of new ideas and learning to their
own goals there will be concurrent organisational improvement.
Being supported by an appropriately match executive
coach the participant is guided to resolve personal and professional
issues and benefit from personal growth and greater self-awareness.
This then encourages individuals to accept a greater personal
responsibility for their actions and role with a higher level
of leadership, new skills and increased confidence that can
only serve to improve the organisational rewards.
Typical areas for development
include:
• Contextual leadership –
developing relationships, commitment, trust and vision.
• Leading for performance improvement and organisation
change.
• Emotional Intelligence and communication.
• Organisational presence and presentation.
• Innovation and risk management.
